Well I did get a chance to do the sketch challenge over on Splitcoast today. This image was downloaded from Dustin Pike. I am not sure it is still available but there are still lots of cute images. I am getting low on birthday cards and with the kids going to birthdays and all I thought I would make a kiddie one. The flowers in the corner are from Fred She Said and the sentiment is computer generated.

Emma the Mermaid - Digital
I love this sweet image from 'Fred, She Said'. This is Emma the Mermaid and it is part of a whole undersea digital download. After I downloaded it I then printed out three copies for my kids for them to colour, cut and paste.....what fun!!!! The next step was of course for myself to make a card. I again coloured with my new copics and then used stickles to give her some shine.

First cards with Copics
Yeah.....I finally got myself a few Copic markers and all I can say is WOW!! They are not the sketch markers but they are the Ciao markers which are a little cheeper. I found them on Hanna Stamps website for $39.99 with 15% off for a set of 12 which brought it to $33.99. That makes it $2.83 a marker, I started with 2 sets but I think I will get another set before the sale ends! So these two cards are my first tries with colouring with Copic. The dragon is the only thing I had to use my SU markers on.

Happily Ever After
This card is made using the "Dream Big" from 'There She Goes'. This is actually a flower image from the set but I stamped it four times in a square pattern. I had some time to myself yesturday and did a little bit of shopping and came home with a few new goodies. One was these Nestablities and a new border punch so they were my inspiration for this card.

SC250 - Delight
Well I got around to making up a card for the SCS sketch this week. This is actually the second card I made from this sketch. The first one I made I used Old Olive and Summer Sun (SU) and it just didn't look right so I picked out these colours which I must say I think look much better.

Digi-Freebie
I have again made a card using a digital download from Fred She Said but this time this is a FREE download.....always love to add to my collection for free. The medallion comes already coloured, I did print it out a couple of times and cut out a few different layers. The vine that I used behind the center piece was also a download that only cost $1 and had a couple other versions that came with it. I have added the link if you are interested in this Freebie.

Pointsettias with Freds Flowers
This is another download from Fred She Said. I made up two different cards but using the same download. The Happy Holidays cards is the original colour of the download and the pointsettia leaves have not been folded so they will lie flat to go through the mail. The second card is from the same download but I wanted the pointsettia to match with the Real red cardstock from SU so I used my marker to go over just the red leaves to bring it much closer to the real red and added some gold stickles to the center. I also folded the leaves a little to give the card more of a 3D effect which I must say I really do like.

Fun with Fred's Flowers
I came across these digital downloads from Fred She Said not to long ago. The downloads can either be just outlines for you to colour in or they can be pre-coloured in a range of colours. I chose to download the pre-coloured to see what they were like. I really like these and the kids also have fun choosing a colour of flower and making a craft from them.

Mojo Monday sketch #107
I was able to play with the Mojo Monday sketch for this week. I went with very untraditional colours for this card. I picked the colours from the DP I bought from a dollar store. I added some of the "Dew Drop" accents and used stickels in the center on the pointsettias.
Stamps - Poinsettia Christmas (Verve)
Paper - misc. and dollar store finds
Colour marker - Almost Amethyst (SU)

World Card making day!!!!
Well I was able to take part in a couple challenges over at SplitCoast Stampers. I wish I could have done more but only so much time in a day. This was a challeng that was to use a quote for your focal image. This quote that I used was a FREE digital download and I downloaded it about a month ago and now can not remember who it was from..........sorry!
The frame was cut from the Cricut but because I was using a download and not a stamp I had to use the negative part of the cut....I think it worked out ok and now I have the positives already cut for a future card!

Getting ready for Christmas early!
When I sit down to make a card I am almost always thinking about making more than one. Above is an example of when I am mass producing. I actually made up enough of most of the elements for eight cards but only had time to put together three today. Next time I sit down it won't take to long because I have most elements just waiting to be all put together.
The main pointsetta image and the greeting is from Verve. The leaves behind the pointsetta and beside the greeting are a digital file I got from Fred, She Said. The gold swirls are from There she goes.
Stamps- Verve, There she goes
Paper- Bulk pack of shimmery paper from Micheals
