Twins 1st Christmas

This is a special card that my sister asked me to create. A friend of hers had twin girls this fall and she wanted to send her something special, so this is what I came up with. The babies in stockings is a download from 'Whimsy Doodle Graphics'. The cardstock is 'Pretty in Pink' and 'Barely Banana' from SU. I used my Cricut for the snowflakes and a Martha Stewart border punch. The sentiment is computer generated and place into a scallop stamp from SU, then added some pearls and ribbon.

Centered Santa

This card actually took me a long time because I was trying to use more elements in it and nothing seemed to be working so after a long time of fiddeling around I decided that I was just going to center it on some nice gold paper. I used my 'Copics' to colour and then used stickels on the tree and on the white on santas coat and hat. Image is a digital from 'Pink Cat Studios'.

Poinsettia Christmas

I made this card using a set from Verve that I got last year 'Poinsettia Christmas'. The DP is just misc. from my stash. I used the scallop edge punch from SU and MS border punch. The leaf punch is one I got years ago from 'punch bunch', and of course added some gems.

Riley and the Christmas tree

Well I finally got around to making up some cards with this Riley stamp. The reason that I had to wait is because I have been waiting for more copic markers to arrive in the mail, and in that package were a couple markers that I thought would work better for Riley. I decided to make up a few of these to give out this year. All the greeting were made up on the computer. The shimmery brown paper was purchased at Micheals in a 'Collections' pack. I think it really adds to the holiday feel. The edge punch is from EK Success and I used the Cuttlebug snowflake folder.

I have been checking Dustin Pikes blog regulary because he is going to be having a sale of his retired images soon, and I think the images are really cute. So today he has a freebie that you can grab but it will be gone soon!! The sentiment on this card is computer generated. The link to his blog is on my list of 'Places I like to shop'.

This is such a cute little critter. This is a digital download from 'The Greeting Farm". The sentiment is from Verve. I used Aqua mist cardstock and DP from Papertrey Ink and Real Red from SU. The border punch is from Fiskars and the large snowflake was cut from my Cricut. Then added some stickles, ribbon and gems. I will be making a few of these maybe in different colours to mail out this year!!

Sweet Stop Sketch #29

This is the first time I have participated in the Sweet Shop Sketch. I liked the look of this one so I gave it a go. The image is another digital download, but it was one of the first that I downloaded and forgot to change the file name to include the company it came from.....so sorry for not including company......if anyone knows could you leave me a comment? The sentiment is computer generated. I added some stickles on his scarf and hat, and I found these cute little snowflakes at a dollar store. They have a very small hole in the center, perfect for the smallest size of gem!

First cards with Copics

Yeah.....I finally got myself a few Copic markers and all I can say is WOW!! They are not the sketch markers but they are the Ciao markers which are a little cheeper. I found them on Hanna Stamps website for $39.99 with 15% off for a set of 12 which brought it to $33.99. That makes it $2.83 a marker, I started with 2 sets but I think I will get another set before the sale ends! So these two cards are my first tries with colouring with Copic. The dragon is the only thing I had to use my SU markers on.

Pointsettias with Freds Flowers

This is another download from Fred She Said. I made up two different cards but using the same download. The Happy Holidays cards is the original colour of the download and the pointsettia leaves have not been folded so they will lie flat to go through the mail. The second card is from the same download but I wanted the pointsettia to match with the Real red cardstock from SU so I used my marker to go over just the red leaves to bring it much closer to the real red and added some gold stickles to the center. I also folded the leaves a little to give the card more of a 3D effect which I must say I really do like.

Getting ready for Christmas early!

When I sit down to make a card I am almost always thinking about making more than one. Above is an example of when I am mass producing. I actually made up enough of most of the elements for eight cards but only had time to put together three today. Next time I sit down it won't take to long because I have most elements just waiting to be all put together.
The main pointsetta image and the greeting is from Verve. The leaves behind the pointsetta and beside the greeting are a digital file I got from Fred, She Said. The gold swirls are from There she goes.
Stamps- Verve, There she goes
Paper- Bulk pack of shimmery paper from Micheals
Pointsetta leaves- Fred she said digital download
